Well the rain didn’t show up during photo time, but I made them bust out my umbrella anyway….

The dessert table was AMAZING!!! Alyssa’s grandma, mom and aunts all baked a bunch of yummy goodies. P.S. Cake bite are addicting….

Brendan – Newborn 5/17/11 : Columbus, IN

This shoot was a first for me. The first time I’ve got to photograph a newborn on the day he was born, literally hours after he arrived. I much say it was an awesome experience. If you follow the blog you will recognize Beth, Jared and Landen from previous shoots during Landen’s first year. When Beth told me baby #2 was on the way and she wanted me to come to the hospital when he was born to do photos I was super excited. As time got closer they decided to induce so I waited anxiously to get the call saying the little guy was here….. I kept joking that I was “on call” for the day.

Sure enough he arrived around 2:30 – Brendan Timothy Krawczyk 7 lbs and 4 ozs

Even over the phone Beth sounded fantastic for having just given birth. When I got to the hospital just hours later I couldn’t believe she had had a baby just hours before . Beth, seriously you should be the poster mom for births! Although if everyone was in that good of shape afterwards there may be a lot more babies being born!

Congratulations to Beth and Jared! Thanks again for allowing me to capture such a special day with your family.

Alyssa and Greg’s Wedding 5/7/11 Indianapolis, IN – part one

Well they always say when you worry about something so much it never happens – that was me before this wedding. With all the rain we’d been having I thought for sure there was no way I would be able to avoid it for pictures. I packed rain gear, and brought my cute umbrellas and started a shot list in my head for rainy day photos. If you had seen me on Friday you would have thought I was a crazy person ( I still wouldn’t rule that out) and what happened? No rain. Well I shouldn’t say no rain, there was some in the morning and when I left the reception it was pouring but someone we managed to stay dry during the day. Thank you mother nature 🙂

I would like to say that the above paragraph may have something to do with the fact that this was my first 2011 wedding. No matter how many I do I still butterflies and nerves. The day couldn’t have been better though. After meeting Alyssa for the first time awhile back I knew there would be no “Bridezilla” potential. She was cool as a cucumber all day. I would advise all brides to be as laid back as she was – it’s too late to stress about the small stuff and time to just enjoy the day.

I met the girls at The Vault in Beech Grove to get their hair done and then off to GORGEOUS St. Mary’s Church downtown followed by a rocking reception next door at the Rathskellar. I had an amazing time – enjoyed the mass especially after learning that Alyssa had once been the priest’s  trainer at the YMCA. Loved that I was able to grab the two of them aways and stroll down Mass Ave afterwards. Got to meet a rocking Polka band – Polka Motion. They even threw my name into a song … yep I’m kindof a big deal. All in the all the perfect wedding day.

Thank you to Alyssa, Greg and all your friends and family for allowing me to be a part of your day! This just part one – the post ceremony couple photos and reception will be up next!

I usually don’t use many vintagey (is that a word) actions or filters, but for some reason I really like it on this dress shot on the left …. hmmm….

And then it was time for photos with the guys…

And then it was on to the ceremony.

Stay tuned for part 2!!!
