Hannah and Tyler 6/4/11 : Wedding – Indianapolis, IN (part one)

First of that me say that there is no way this wedding can be considered work because I had way too much fun. I have never laughed so much while shooting a wedding. Hannah – if you’re reading this I can’t tell how awesome you are, and Tyler  the same goes for you .

Now back to the beginning…. I’ve known Tyler (except he will always be Ty to me ) since my freshman year of college at IU. I won’t get into the details, but lets just say there were a few party at the villas, possible an alcoholic beverage or 17 consumed, a few visits to Acacia, and a reunion at the 500 every year.

I was thrilled to hear that he had gotten engaged and couldn’t wait to miss the future Mrs. Checkeye. After many mailing back and forth before the wedding (they actually live in Cincinnati) I finally got a chance  to sit down with Hannah and fall in love with her much like I image Ty did.

I honest don’t understand how they ever get anything accomplished because I image that there is an insane amount of laughing and joking happening. I was so blessed to spend the day with them capturing her day, the jokes, the fun, the touching ceremony with some tears and the undeniable of love between the two of them.

Congrats you guys!!!

This is just part one – so many I love that I’m spliting this into 2 parts. First up everything pre- ceremony. All day I kept thinking that Hannah reminded me of someone and I’ve decided that she is a combination of Jasmine Star – Photographer and Lea Michele from Glee…. anyone agree?

See Part 2 HERE.

The guys have it way too easy…. they were also getting ready but it takes them a fraction of the time.

I could do an entire post called “the many faces of Hannah” but she may kill me haha. She was definitely the most expressive bride I’ve ever had!

Time to put the dress on!

Dad seeing her all dolled up 🙂

Kate and Greg: Engagement Session – Downtown Indianapolis

Where do I begin??? I love these 2 – so much fun to be around. I’ve know Greg for a few years now, he went to college with my brother in law and have had the pleasure of getting to know Kate while they were dating. I was beyond thrilled not only when they got engaged, but when they asked me to be their photographer. I love Kate’s style and can’t wait to see how everything is going to come together for the big day that is just a couple of weeks away.

Here are my favorites from the session – had so much fun just walking around their neighborhood and spending the evening with them. And no evening would be complete without a glass of vino ( even more reason why I love them ) .

Thanks again Kate and Greg! Can’t wait until July 9th!!!

PS – how much do you love  Bogey and Mia? They are the sweetest things – and quite the entertaining combo.

One of my favorite shots below – Kate tried to tell me she wasn’t photogenic…. um i strongly disagree

Fist bump for the Rathskellar where they met …. kate was thrilled about this idea from Greg haha

LOVE this shot of them and the city 🙂

Mark and Kristain – Engagement Session : Bloomington,IN

I always love shooting in Bloomington – especially on campus. It’s so gorgeous! Mark and Kristain are both IU grads and will be getting married in Bloomington in July.

I knew Mark from high school and a couple of month ago I did a contest on Facebook for the best engagement story with the winner recieving a free session. Before he had even sent me the story he informed me that they would win. Well….. he was right!  Here is the story (as told by Kristain) that got them the win. I’m a sucker for IU stories….and the fact that I knew who John was from shooting a previous session at Assembly Hall made it even better.

“I had bought tickets for the IU basketball game for Mark’s birthday. He has a friend at work who’s dad (John) works at Assembly Hall and said that he would give us a tour of Assembly Hall and the new practice facility before the game to go along with Mark’s birthday too. We were both so excited because we love our Hoosiers! When we got to Assembly, John showed us around the facility and asked us if we wanted to go down to the court since the players were done practicing. Of course we said yes! He then offered to take pictures of us in the middle of the court. He snapped a few pictures then I looked over at mark to ask him if we should have him take an up and down picture so we could get the IU sign in. About that time he started reaching in his pocket and kneeling down. My heart started pounding, I started to tear up.. Happy tears 🙂 He asked me to marry him and i said YES!! Turns out he had the tour set up just for that the whole time and John was in on it. I thought it was such a perfect idea because we met in Bloomington at IU and it took us back to where we started.
Hope you enjoy it like I did.  :-)”

Congrats to you guys!

My favorite one below 🙂
