Where do I begin??? I love these 2 – so much fun to be around. I’ve know Greg for a few years now, he went to college with my brother in law and have had the pleasure of getting to know Kate while they were dating. I was beyond thrilled not only when they got engaged, but when they asked me to be their photographer. I love Kate’s style and can’t wait to see how everything is going to come together for the big day that is just a couple of weeks away.
Here are my favorites from the session – had so much fun just walking around their neighborhood and spending the evening with them. And no evening would be complete without a glass of vino ( even more reason why I love them ) .
Thanks again Kate and Greg! Can’t wait until July 9th!!!

PS – how much do you love Bogey and Mia? They are the sweetest things – and quite the entertaining combo.

I always love shooting in Bloomington – especially on campus. It’s so gorgeous! Mark and Kristain are both IU grads and will be getting married in Bloomington in July.
I knew Mark from high school and a couple of month ago I did a contest on Facebook for the best engagement story with the winner recieving a free session. Before he had even sent me the story he informed me that they would win. Well….. he was right! Here is the story (as told by Kristain) that got them the win. I’m a sucker for IU stories….and the fact that I knew who John was from shooting a previous session at Assembly Hall made it even better.
“I had bought tickets for the IU basketball game for Mark’s birthday. He has a friend at work who’s dad (John) works at Assembly Hall and said that he would give us a tour of Assembly Hall and the new practice facility before the game to go along with Mark’s birthday too. We were both so excited because we love our Hoosiers! When we got to Assembly, John showed us around the facility and asked us if we wanted to go down to the court since the players were done practicing. Of course we said yes! He then offered to take pictures of us in the middle of the court. He snapped a few pictures then I looked over at mark to ask him if we should have him take an up and down picture so we could get the IU sign in. About that time he started reaching in his pocket and kneeling down. My heart started pounding, I started to tear up.. Happy tears 🙂 He asked me to marry him and i said YES!! Turns out he had the tour set up just for that the whole time and John was in on it. I thought it was such a perfect idea because we met in Bloomington at IU and it took us back to where we started.
Hope you enjoy it like I did. :-)”
Congrats to you guys!

I don’t know what was up with the weather this year, but 70 degrees in the middle of November?! I like it. I met Vara and Justin in Franklin where he attends school to shoot their engagement photos. I feel like I’ve been waiting for this shoot for a long time since I can remember talking about wedding plans and photos before she even had the ring (hey – we’re girls…. it’s what we do). I was super pumped that she asked me to photograph their wedding next fall – will be an amazing day for sure.
I gotta tell you that I love this lady – she constantly makes me laugh and you’re guaranteed to have a good time when she’s around. And she’s so bitty that she actually makes me feel talk, which very rarely happens to me . Justin, it was a pleasure finally meeting you even though I feel like I know you from being friends with Vara for awhile now. You’re a lucky guy… which I’m sure she reminds you of all the time haha. I’m looking forward to dresses, hot chocolates from starbucks and many convos about weddings stuff in the upcoming months 🙂
Here are some of my favorites – can’t wait until August 2011!!!!
