Meet Baby Sophie – a little cutie with the biggest set of lungs! She was not nearly as happy to met me as I was to meet her! She screamed and screamed for most of the shoot – except with she being held. For only being a few days old, I would say that she’s already a Daddy’s girl. Despite the screaming she did tucker herself out after awhile and we got some good shots. I LOVE her nursery – so adorable.
Congrats to The Opper’s on their first little bundle of joy. Thanks for welcoming me into your home and allowing me to photograph your wonderful family.

Hot, hot, hot seems to be the theme of most of my shoots this summer. This one was no exception. After having to reschedule since my car got drilled by a tire on 65 on my trip down the first time (weirdest wreck ever), I thought for sure the weather would have calmed down a little since it was a couple of weeks later. I was wrong…
Thanks to Arica and her mom for enduring the heat with me. I had a great time spending the evening with you guys – especially since I know you’re Colts fans 🙂 Best of luck to Arica with her last semester of school (yep graduating midterm). Here are some of my favorites from the shoot.

Hmmmm, how should I begin the story of Emily and Mark. I knew both of them separately before I ever knew that they knew each other. One day I was browsing through Facebook when I saw that Emily had gotten engaged. To my surprise I clicked on the photo and there she was with Mark….. all my worlds had just collided! I went to high school with Emily and had played volleyball together and I knew Mark from club volleyball at IU – I knew they were both living in Chicago… but still random right?! I immediately had to comment on this weird happening and congratulate them. Long story short I ended up shooting their wedding! I love how things like this work themselves out….
I might be a little biased on this one because I already knew that I loved Emily and Mark before the wedding, but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVED this wedding! Everything from the quaint historic church to the gorgeous dress and flowers to the amazingly fun wedding party to one of the most rocking receptions I’ve been to – it was a blast. It doesn’t hurt that Emily already looks like a model, so add a beautiful wedding gown and she was stunning! Side note – This is the tallest couple i’ve ever shot…. spent have my day on my shorty stool, but it was totally worth it….
ok ok , I’ll quit rambling and bring on the photos. Congratulations to Emily and Mark and thank you again for letting me be a part of your day!

Her veil was AMAZING!! My favorite veil of any bride so far…. If I do recall correctly she bought it before the dress!

They chose to see each other before the ceremony which I HIGHLY recommend. These are their “First look” photos.

The church was right in downtown Madison, which is so full of old historic buildings and gorgeous landscaping…. loved this old building right by church…

At one point during the reception the guys decided to sit Emily down and sing her a little tune…. which just happened to be Boys 2 Men “I’ll Make Love to You”…. hilarious

Seriously I could have done an entire post just on this reception. It was way to much fun… and I was working! Here are a few of my favorite party shots….

And last but not least here I am with the lovely couple… yes I’m on a chair… told you they were tall…
