Totally forgot to blog this!!! I met up with Jami and Jamie (yes same name, different spelling 🙂 back in July in Seymour for their engagement photos.
We met at The Martin House in Seymour which is a gorgeous old home that has been turned into a rental space for small gatherings and events. It has an outdoor area that is gorgeous with brick and large barn doors etc. From there we headed to an old antique store with a super cool Dr. Pepper sign and some awesome colors. Luckily,we managed to finished up about 30 seconds before it started pouring rain!
Thanks to Jami and Jamie for battling the July heat for this session! I can’t wait for your wedding in November!

Here’s part two of my post of Kate and Greg’s wedding. You can see part one HERE. First up is the outdoor ceremony followed by the reception.Loved this reception – lots of classic moments like a flash mob (see youtube video HERE), a “unique” father daughter dance and a jam packed dance floor. Enjoy 🙂

Loved the use of old wine corks for the names – I might have contributed to the drinking of some of the wine these corks came from haha

So if you read my previous post (click here) you already know that Kate and Greg pulled a fast one on everyone and actually got married the night before at their rehearsal dinner.
So this is technically their “second” wedding day . I enjoyed this wedding so much – those of you that know me know i’m not a very traditional person. Not that there is anything wrong with traditional church weddings. Being friends with the Bride and Groom allowed me to have a better idea of all the planning and details going into the day than I usually do for weddings. I must say that I love Kate’s taste – she did so many things that I would do exactly the same if it were my wedding.
Kate and Greg chose to get married at a GORGEOUS outdoor venue in a Chicago Suburb called Lemont. This place was a photographers dream – not a bad place on the grounds for a photo! They did a First Look, even though they were technically already married haha. From there we traveled to Kate’s father’s home for some photos and then off to Montefiori where the ceremony and reception took place. I think I enjoyed this day so much for a couple of reason : 1) two people that I know and love were getting married  2) the weather was amazing 3) since the whole wedding party was together and they did a first look the photos flowed easily 4) the whole day was just a celebration of them and their friends and families. They were out mingling as the guests arrived and enjoyed cocktails and appetizers and were able to actually enjoy their time with their guests that had flown in from around the country.
Congratulations again to Kate and Greg!

And the girls were in a separate room putting on their final touches

Kate’s dress was 2 in 1! I’ve never seen anything like it – the top long layer comes off revealing a short dress for the reception! AMAZING!

And then it was time for the First Look at the ALOFT hotel in Bolingbrook. IL

And then it was off to her dad’s house for a few photos. PS – I love the orange door and when the groomsmen wear suspenders 🙂
