I literally started jumping up and down when I got the email from Brittany about her and Clayton expecting their first baby!
I had the pleasure of shooting their wedding back in 2010 and I can only imagine how cute the little one will be! And are you kidding me with how cute she is pregnant?!

As of this post Baby D hasn’t arrived (at least not that I know of) even though he/she was due 2 days ago so here’s hoping he/she arrives any day now!

I was soooo excited about this session. Elizabeth and I had been emailing back and forth brainstorming ideas and props etc. to set up their picnic in the park and to incorporate their wedding date via balloons so they could use them for save the dates.
I met them bright and early Saturday morning. Like 7am early – hence the gorgeous morning light. It was still in the 90’s during this time, but we managed to avoid some of the heat as well by starting so early.
We explored their neighbor with stops at the Kinzie bridge and their favorite doughnut place Glazed to pick up some goodies for our picnic.

LOVED this session! If you follow the blog you may recognize these two from Emily and Mark’s wedding back in 2010 where they caught the bouquet and garter…. fast forward 2 years and it’s time for their wedding!
I met Suzy and her wonderful fiance Pierick in downtown Chicago for some classic city shots. From there we went to Southport Lanes where they had their first date to grab some beers and play a little pool. It was great getting to spend the evening with them and catch up on everything (Suzy and I went to high school together). I loved that at one point Suzy said “Don’t say that! She’ll put it in the blog! ” haha… I’m glad to know someone is reading this!
