Welcome Katelyn to the blog! You may recognize her from her brother Joe’s wedding in 2011 where she was a bridesmaid (see here). At the wedding Joe’s mom told me she was going to get in touch me the following summer about Katelyn’s photos and sure enough on their one year anniversary my phone rang! It was great to get to see everyone again. Tasha and Joe came for a few sibling photos at the beginning of the session. The light was AMAZING this morning. I could have stayed there forever.
Here are a few of my favorites from the session! And good luck to Katelyn in her last semester at Beech Grove!

The mini sessions were a huge hit this year! I’ve switched to these from my previous full sessions. This way I’m able to shoot many in the same day and they are a lower rate for my clients so they can do more than one session a year as their little ones grow so fast!
I will continue to do these throughout 2013 in both the southern Indiana area and Chicago! I always announce the information on my facebook page so if you’re interested “like” my page! www.facebook.com/beckybrownphotography
Here are a couple of my favorites from each session! We lucked out and got some amazing fall weather for the day!

I’m not sure where to even begin talking about how amazing these two people are. Don’t get me wrong- I love all my couples, but this wedding and their love story had me in tears a couple of times! I first met Bill and Lynn at the Columbus Republic Bridal Show. Bill and I instantly bonded over our love of Macs since he had just gotten the newest iPad and I was super jealous. I wasn’t sure if I would hear from them again, as they were older than my average couple. But I hoped that I would because I like them right away. I was lucky enough to get a call from them a couple months later about shooting their wedding and I could tell instantly that this was going to be one I’d never forget.
I met up with them in May for their engagement session (you can see that HERE). Afterwards we headed to Zwanzig’s for some pizza and to chat about the wedding. And so begins the emotions…. Bill told me the story of how he met Lynn after being in a car accident. She was his physical therapist and quickly became much more than that. He told me the story of how he proposed to her and it brought me to tears in the restaurant. I left there and thought to myself – this is what love is and I am so unbelievably lucky to be shooting this wedding. This is the reason I do what I do.
I know I’m getting a little mushy on you guys, but I can’t help it. I partially blame Bill because he is an emotional guy and I can’t see a grown man cry and not cry myself! They got married on a gorgeous September afternoon at First Christian Church in Columbus. And true to form – it was an emotional one. I LOVE this church. It has such amazing light. We traveled around town for some photos before heading off to the reception in Hope to celebrate with their guests.
I was truly honored to be able to capture this wedding. I can only hope that I can find half of the happiness that these two have in their relationship 🙂

Loved the reception entrance they did. I’d never seen these rice puffs before, but they were in the shape of hearts and safe for the birds – win, win!
