All guys love having their photo taken right?! You would not believe how many times I’ve heard “He’s not a big picture taker” and then by the end of the engagement shoot they are telling me how much fun they had. Granted that might have something to do with all the kissing photos…. 🙂
Here are my favorite Groom photos from 2013… again I’m not saying my favorite Grooms, but my favorite photos. Don’t send me angry emails tomorrow!
If you’re going to get married at Notre Dame like Andy did, you obviously need a solo pic in front of the golden dome.
I love how this piece of artwork in the West Loop creates a nice frame around Mike!
My associate Allie shot this photo of Zach and I started dying laughing when I got to it…. that’s how you rock a vest with a pocket watch! A ll the ones before this one were smiling, nice photos and then this 🙂 Don’t worry there are some equally amazing solo shots of all the groomsmen that will be in a later post.
Loved Matt’s shirt & combo… not everyone can pull that off!
I call this image “Deep Thoughts with Billy” …… ok not really, but it does look like he’s doing some hard core thinking. He was standing right by the front of the church doors when I took this and just enough light was coming in to light his face. I love the contrast!
Mike at Richwood Plantation…. you can kindof see the Ohio River peaking through back there….
My wonderful assistant Rentata took this image of Thomas during the wedding I shot in NYC…. very GQ 🙂
I always love when I can get a pop of color thanks to Mother Nature! Ali is rocking this tux!
Nathan used to do some catalog modeling…. so he’s kindof a big deal… and a natural in front of the camera 🙂
And last but not least is Jason! I love it when my groom incorporate some color into their attire! This purple shirt and bowtie combo was perfect for the occasion!
This is a fun one! You never know what’s going to happen when you incorporate the little kiddos into the wedding. Some of them are terrified to walk down the aisle, some of them will sprint, some will stop to talk to everyone and my personal favorite from a few years ago some of them will walk halfway and then think it’s a good time to stop and pick their nose (that really happened)!
Not everyone has flower girls or ring bearers, but here are my favorites of the little kiddos I got to work with in 2013!
This little guy at Rebecca and Nathan’s wedding turned around once they got past me to see if I was coming with 🙂
All the kiddos at Carrie and Ben’s wedding were so cute I had to to a collage, but I couldn’t pick just one photo.
This flower girl at Marjorie and Joe’s wedding started throwing her petals and then turned around to pick them all up haha.
Apparently her parents have taught her how to pick up after herself very well.
Are kidding me with those cheeks?! Janet and Jason’s daughter and flower girl was the cutest thing ever!
These two were show stealers coming down the aisle at Lauren and Jordan’s Wedding.
Sometimes your duties as ring bearer include rocking a fake mustache like the ring bearer at Barb and Ali’s wedding
Twins in top hats?! These three anxiously await their trip down the aisle at Krista and Billy’s wedding.
This flower girl was a dancing machine at Julie and John’s wedding!
As were these guys at Keri and Blaine’s wedding!
But being a ring bearer is a tough gig and sometimes you just need a little nap during cocktail hour 🙂
Yah this was #11….. I cheated… but only by 1 🙂
Oh my beautiful brides! Is there anything better in the world to photograph than a gorgeous bride on her wedding day?!
Although I had 20+ brides this year I promised myself I’d keep each post to my 10 favorites. So please don’t take it personally if you aren’t on this post! I love you all! These are just my favorite bridal images of the year…. not my favorite brides 🙂
Here we go!
I love this simplicity of this image of Leann 🙂 And as you’ll see from the rest of this post I’m a sucker for black and white images.
Did I mention I love black and white images? My favorite shot of Emma with gorgeous windown light showing off all the details of her dress.
I love this one so much I got a big canvas of it for my bridal shows 🙂 This is Krista!
It was the perfect fall day when Julie got married! Nothing beats a pretty blue sky!
Ok technically this one has the groom in it as well, but since the focus is on Keri I’m couting it as a bridal shot. I should do sunrise photos more often! The light was amazing!
I love how happy Maggie is in this shot…. and basically every photo from her wedding day! I don’t think she stopped smiling once!
A final glance in the mirror before Janet went down to meet her groom. I love the simplicity and calmness to this one.
Hello fall! I was so thrilled that some of the fall colors were still around for Marjorie’s November wedding! Thanks Mother Nature for the pop of color in this photo!
I couldn’t do a bridal favorites without a veil shot! Thanks to my sister who helped create this look for Rebecca of the wind blowing even though it wasn’t!
