Intimate Wedding at Cooper’s Hawk Winery: Kahlea + Chad 3/3/19

Meet Kahlea and Chad! They had a gorgeous intimate wedding at the Cooper’s Hawk winery location in Arlington Heights.

I met them at the hotel for some getting ready and a few photos before heading over to the venue. Their son Cameron acted as ring bearer and was the cutest thing ever. They got married in the Barrel Room there which is such a cool space. Being at a winery the embraced it and included a unity wine pouring/tasting as part of the the ceremony and made sure not to waste a drop!

After their I do’s guests enjoyed cocktails and we used the unique space for some photos, cake cutting and first dance before they sat down to enjoy dinner.

It was the perfect March day!

Winter Wedding at The Estate: Dalia + Kevin 12/29/18

Finally blogging my last wedding of 2018 now that’s it’s 2020 (insert laughing/crying emoji here). I’m so behind on this. But better late than never right?!

This wedding was a gorgeous winter wonderland, complete with an actual burst of snow later in the evening. I realized it was snowing. Realized we had about 15 minutes before it stopped and I’ve never moved so fast to get clients outside in my life lol.

I loved all the personal things they included. Such as incorporating Dalia’s daughter into the ceremony. I’m not going to lie, I was crying behind my camera when Kevin asked her to be her father. Literally bawling. And now they have a new baby as well!

A mariachi band kicked off the party and the dance floor was packed all night! Also, have you seen so many cute kids in your life?!

Art Institute Engagement Session : Rachel + Chris 11/18/18

What is one of the best ways to spend a crisp fall morning in Chicago? Coffee and the Art Institute!

You may recognize Rachel as she is the sister of Leah who is one of my previous brides and I’ve photographed her and Luis (and furbabies) a few times! So I was thrilled to hear from Rachel when she got engaged.

I met them at Art Institute where we walked around, found some of their favorite paintings and of course made a stop at the gorgeous staircase.

Unfortunately the gardens were closed for the season, but we made the most of what we could and still snuck in a few with some color. And what’s a morning session without coffee?! We walked over the cutest coffee stop around that is tucked into an alley. If you didn’t know it was there you would miss it, but thanks (or not thanks?) to instagram it’s become more and more popular.

They sipped some lattes and snuck some kisses before I sent them of to meet the parents for lunch!

I can’t wait to see photos of their destination I do’s!
