Meet Seth & Jana! I knew Jana from our college days at IU. We were kind of big deal in the intramural softball world 😉
I was so excited when she contacted me about shooting her fall wedding in Indianapolis because I know she is so sweet and fun, and I knew this would be a wedding I wouldn’t want to miss! She found a great guy in Seth who was smiling and laughing from the moment I met him. I knew right away I was in for a fun day!
They got ready and did first look at the same place of the ceremony – The Hideaway nestled in the heart of Eagle Creek park. It was a beautiful fall day for an outdoor wedding and we roamed around the property for photos before all their guests arrived. Seth’s sister preformed their personalized ceremony and guests came decked in their yacht finest as the reception was Yacht themed!
We headed over to the Indianapolis Colts Complex for their reception. Jana’s uncle works for the Colts and was able to make some magic happen to let them have their reception there. We snuck out on the practice field for some photos before joining cocktail hour. I’m a big Colts fan so I was super pumped about these!
As the night continued there were laughs and tears through the speeches, there was a quick outfit change which obviously included some Sperry’s for the couple and there was lots and lots of fun!
Congratulations to the newlyweds!

Meet Kelly & Steve and their adorable dog Harry! I met them at their home for some photos with Harry in the backyard and nearby park. I always love incorporating pets into sessions and they are always best when you get some play time in as well!
From there we headed down to the Naperville riverwalk and ended the night at the Starbucks they went to on their first date!
I can’t wait for their wedding this summer! Here are some favorites!
You may remember Corey & Brian from their winter engagement session (you can see that HERE). It was cold and freezing and snow covered. Their wedding day was the exact opposite! It was bright and sunny and full of color!
My second shooter Sami and I met up at the Michigan Shores Club in Wilmette a little early so we could scout the area. We walked down the hill to the beach along Lake Michigan and I instantly fell in love. It was a bright blue sky day and all along the beach were colorful canoes lined up. It was color overload!! I couldn’t wait to my couple down there!!
After a first look we took the wedding party to a nearby park and then down to the beach for photos. On the walk back the sun was so beautifully lighting the stairs I had to stop them for some additional shots.
They had a beautiful ceremony inside the club which was then transformed into part of the reception room while guests enjoyed cocktail hour. There were some great hearfelt toasts before Corey & Brian busted out their choreographed first dance! When we left the dance floor was still packed!
Congrats again to Corey, Brian and your family and friends for letting us capture your day!
