Meet Kelly & Steve! You may remember them and their adorable dog Harry from their engagement session (see that HERE). I couldn’t wait for their wedding to arrive as they were a blast to be around and were getting married at one of my favorite venues!
Mother Nature didn’t quite get the memo that we needed a rain free day so we had to work through on and off rain all day. Thankfully it stopped in time for our outdoor photos, but picked back up before the ceremony forcing them to move it under the covered patio area. But, no rain could stop them from saying I do! Post Ceremony the guest enjoyed cocktail hour, dancing and instead of a cake cutting they did a milk and cookie bar! And these beer lovers sent their guest home with custom pint glasses!
Here are some of my favorites from their day. Congrats to the newlyweds!

I love Harry in this photo. I imagine he’s thinking “Why is dad getting so dressed up?”
I might be behind on blogging when I realize I haven’t blogged this engagement session and they are already married…….
Better late than never? I met Nicole and Jimmy at their place before wandering around the neighborhood of Bucktown and hitting their favorite bar – Lottie’s. If this looks familiar to you it is the bar featured in Chicago Fire.
From there we hit the 606 trail before heading to the Greetings from Chicago mural where Jimmy busted out his motorcycle for few photos!
Here are some of my favorites!
Meet Lori & Fred! I had the pleasure of getting to know these two a little bit more before their big day when we did engagement photos in the city (you can see that here). They are two of the sweetest people ever. And with Lori being a teacher she was extra patient when I say ” just one more photo”, but really I meant 20 more haha!
When the wedding day rolled around I was super excited to spend the day with them! I met the girls at Lori’s Mom’s house where they were getting ready while my second shooter went to hang with the guys.
They married at St. Alexander’s Church in Villa Park surrounded by friends and family. For the end of June it was HOT HOT HOT outside. I give major credit to the wedding party for braving it as I think it was in the 90’s! After some photos at Liliacia Park we all headed for the comfort of AC at their reception venue, Venuti’s to dance the night away!
Congratulations to the newlyweds again and thank you for letting me capture your day!

Best wedding entrance of the year!
Lori’s father passed away a few years back so for her father/daughter dance they played a photo slideshow and Mom and sisters joined her on the dance floor. I cried like a baby. As did everyone else. This is one of my favorite photos of the year.
