What a difference a couple months can make! Looking back through this session makes me long for the gorgeous fall colors and soft sunsets instead of the -40 degrees and 2 feet of snow! I met Nicole and Joe at Lincoln Park for their session with their adorable puppy Lucy that Joe gave Nicole when he proposed. Guys take note…. get us an adorable puppy and it would be very hard to say no!
Timing was everything for this session. The lighting was absolute perfection. If you ever hear photographers talk about the “golden hour” this is a prime example of that. It’s the beautiful soft light that you get in the hour leading into sunset. I was was in heaven 🙂

Meet my amazing assisant/second shooter Robyn and her fiance Bobby! Robyn has been a lifesaver to me this year as I was searching for someone to be my second set of eyes at weddings. However, this time she was in front of the camera! We started out at Lincoln Park and made a quick stop at the LaSalle Bridge before heading out by the Planetarium for skyline photos.
I can’t wait for their wedding in August and I’m honored to be able to capture it….. although I’m going to have to find someone to assist me since I think she’ll be a little busy!
