Meet Ananda and Robert! I had a blast with them for their engagement session back in October.
We had a gorgeous fall day to stroll along the riverwalk downtown and take in some of the gorgeous views of Chicago. Their is something magical about this city when all the city lights come up and we got the best of all worlds during our stroll!
Stay tuned for their amazing winter wedding!
Meet Amanda and Alex! You may remember them from their winter engagement session (see that HERE).
I was so excited for this wedding because they are amazing, fun couple who are heads over heels for each other! I knew it would awesome day and it did not disappoint! I met the girls at the Hilton Rosemont while my second shooter Sami went to hang out with the guys for a bit. After a quick first look we were off for photos!
For some reason our first location was like a giant wind tunnel. I mean crazy crazy wind! We almost packed it in and went back to the hotel as the girls had hair flying everywhere! Thankfully the second stop was the exact opposite. The tree coverage managed to block the wind enough that it was barely noticable. We had some great fall color and everyone breathed a big sigh of relief to not have to battle the wind!
Their ceremony was heartfelt and lovely all around. Their vows brought tears to my eyes and you can tell by the way they never took their eyes off each other just how in love they are.
Post ceremony it was time to party! Dances, drinks and toasts keep everyone smiling and laughing throughout the night. Amanda did a quick dress change before hitting the dance floor for the hora!

Brace yourselves for photo overload. When two friends of mine get married it’s nearly impossible to narrow down the selections. I did my best!
I’ve known Nicole and Jimmy for a few years now. In fact I believe it was my 30th birthday party when they made their first public appearance as a “couple.” So I was thrilled when they asked me to shoot their wedding! I knew it would be a blast and it did not disappoint!
I met the girls at Room 1520 while my second shooter, Brittany, met up with the guys at the hotel. As you can see by the photos they had slightly different getting ready moments. Guys with beer, girls with hairspray! It was a gorgeous fall day and we took advantage of the neighborhood and rooftop for some skyline photos before the ceremony. After their I do’s we snuck in a few sunset photos of the newlyweds during cocktail hour and it was back inside to party!
This dance floor was the most packed, crazy fun dance floor probably all year. It was non-stop action. And a lot of my friends were there so let’s just say there are a lot more dancing shots in this post than normal!
Thank you to the newlyweds for letting me capture your day!
