I can’t imagine kicking off 2017 with a more fun and amazing couple than Ananda and Rob! You may remember them from their fall engagement session (see that HERE).
I met the ladies at Hotel Lincoln where Ananda was all smiles and laughs before heading out to meet her groom. To say it was a cold day would be the understatement of the year. With the windchill it was single digits. It was cold. It was very very cold. But that wasn’t going to stop up!
We met Rob around the corner were he was waiting for his bride with a horse and carriage. We jumped on board and headed over to Cafe Brauer where they had their first date for a few photos. Thanks to Pickles the horse for being a trooper!
After a very quick run outside with the bridal party we warmed up at A New Leaf where they had their ceremony and reception. Being the incredibly crafty people that they are, most of the decorations and sign were made by them! And a hot chocolate bar?! Yes please!!
Congratulations to the newlyweds! Here are some of my favorites!

Meet Ashley & David! They married at the gorgeous Intercon hotel in downtown Chicago. We were super lucky to get a gorgeous November day for their wedding.
I met the girls for getting ready, while my second photographer Renae hung out with the guys. After a quick first look we headed out to Michigan Ave. for photos. This was a wild day to be downtown! In the hour we were outside we saw protesters, police, street performers and crews putting up the Christmas decorations! They took it all in stride though as we worked around the crowds and tourists for photos.
They said their I do’s in the gorgeous ballroom surrounded by friends and family. Ashley’s dad wins the balance award for the day as he stepped on her veil after giving her away, but caught himself before a fall (see photo below)! After cocktails guest reentered the transformed room for dinner, toasts and dancing the night away.
Congrats again to the newlyweds! Here are some of my favorites!

The campus at IU is one of the most beautiful in the county and in the fall it’s at it’s prime. As an IU alumni I am always looking for a reason to get back to Bloomington and luckily when Jenn and Alex got engaged I got a reason! You may remember them from their Dallas engagement session (See that HERE).
I played volleyball with Alex back in our college days and when he and Jenn decided to get married, Bloomington became the obvious choice for these two alumni!
I met the ladies at the IMU where they were getting ready in their adorable matching plaid, while my second photographer Erika met up with the guys. This will forever be one of my favorite first looks! We wanted to meet up at Sample Gates, which can be a very busy area for foot traffic. I sent Erika and the guys ahead to try to detour the crowds around the middle so we could try not to have a ton of people in the background. Mission accomplished! Alex’s face when he saw his bride for the first time was priceless!
After strolling around campus taking in all the gorgeous fall colors we headed back to Alumni Hall for their ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. The dance floor was PACKED until the very last song! It was so much fun to see some familiar faces from my college days! We ended the evening with sparklers and a night shot on Kirkwood as they headed off to the after party at Nicks!
Here are some (ok a lot) of my favorites! Congrats to the newlyweds!
