I’m super behind on blogging, but I’m excited to share this amazing September wedding with you!
I shot Cathy and Matt’s engagement session in the West Loop just a couple of weeks before the wedding so I’ve decided to combine it into one blog post. We wandered around their neighborhood and got some shots in with their dog before heading downtown for a few night photos.
The wedding was at the gorgeous Kenilworth Club. Although mother nature required us to move their beach ceremony inside we were able to head down there post ceremony for sunset photos as the rain let up. We had a great time shooting this wedding and dance floor was rocking!! If you ask me that’s always the sign of a fun wedding!
There are some of my favorites from their engagement session and wedding day!

I fell in love with these two at our first meeting! Kristen is a fellow IU grad (Go Hoosiers) and after chatting for awhile we realized we had some friends in common… it’s a small world! I think Pat really enjoyed listening to us swap college stories haha. So naturally I was thrilled when they hired me to be their wedding photographer!
But first comes the engagement session of course. We met at Lincoln Park on a gorgeous fall day for some photos before heading out by the Planetarium for some skyline photos. I think it dropped about 20 degrees from the time we left Lincoln Park to the time we got out to Museum Campus.. no joke. I’ve shot out there many times and I’ve never experienced such crazy wind! I have to give a big thanks to them for toughing it out! You hopefully can’t tell in the photos, but they were frozen by the time we finished, but the sky looked so amazing I’m glad we stuck it out!
I can’t wait for their May wedding! And if I’ve gained 20 pounds by then it is because they got me addicted to a Mexican places near where I live and I crave it all the time now!
Here are some of my favorites!

Meet Don and Michelle! I have to say that I’m a little biased when it comes to this session because I love these two and knew them both before they started dating so it was one of my favorites!
Naturally when they got together I was thrilled 🙂 And I was even more thrilled when they got engaged and asked me to be their photographer! I met up with them in their neighborhood of Boystown for some photos before heading to Lincoln Park and Buckingham Fountain. We wanted to make sure we got some iconic Chicago shots as they will be moving to Virgina next month (boo!!!). I still love you though but you better come visit!
Here are some of my favorites! I can’t wait for their wedding in May!
