Indy Bridal Show 2010

This past weekend I had a booth at the Perfect Wedding Guide show downtown at the gorgeous Scottish Rite Cathedral. It was an amazing event with vendors from all over Indy and hundreds of upcoming brides. I had the chance to meet a lot of great couples and future brides as well as a few future husbands who seemed not so eager to be there until they discovered all the free food samples haha!  We were placed in between a wonderful harpist who kept us entertained all weekend playing everything from Ava Maria to Coldplay to Styx and the lovely ladies at the Omni Severin Hotel downtown! I also had a chance to talk photo with the wonderful folks at Astra Creative up in Carmel. All in all it was a great time.

We did a drawing to win a free engagement session for 2 lucky winners (one for each day). And the winners are …… (drumroll)…. Lyndsey Adams and Eric Furry and Ashley Williams and Eric Powell. Congratulations to both couples!

*** To all my brides that stopped by the booth just a reminder that the Bridal Show Package I was handing out is only good for up to 60 days after the show so please call to set up a one-on -one consultation or book your date before March 10th if you want that package! ****

Here are some pics of our booth from the weekend. A Special thanks to my sister Sarah and my friend Lindsey for helping me out.

Best of 2009 : Weddings

As 2009 comes to and end I decided I would do my own version yearly recap. I always leave each shoot or event having a couple of images in mind that are standouts to me. They aren’t always the clients favorites, or ones I post, but they are my favorites. I was going to just do my top 25, but after looking back i realized that would be way to hard so I decided to break it down into categories …

To end 2009 I wanted to post my favorites from the weddings I’ve shot this year. I’ve had the chance to work with so many great couples and be a part of their wedding. I can’t tell you how much I love to shoot weddings. From the second I arrive I’m always caught up in the moment… by the time the wedding rolls around I like to think of my couples more as friends than clients. Usually I’ve had the chance to sit down a few times with them and have shot their engagement photos. I’ve heard the stories of how they met and really experienced first hand how much in love they are. I can’t lie, I’ve found myself tearing up during some of the vows (I usually try to hid behind my camera so no one knows haha).

Weddings are planned so far in advance and so many details go into this one day that I really try to capture everything and let my photos tell a story of the day. Everything from the hair, the dress, the emotions, the cake etc is important to capture.

Thanks to all my 2009 brides for allowing me to be a part of your big day. I can’t wait for 2010 and all the amazing couples and weddings! Here’s the link to the post I did on the upcoming bridal shows for my bride-to be’s out there!

Here are my favorites! Happy New Year!

Best of 2009 : Portraits

As 2009 comes to and end I decided I would do my own version yearly recap. I always leave each shoot or event having a couple of images in mind that are standouts to me. They aren’t always the clients favorites, or ones I post, but they are my favorites. This set are my favorite portraits of the year. Portraits include a wide range of things…. newborns, babies, maternity, families, headshots, seniors and everything in between. I’ve had the pleasure of working with some amazing families this year and documenting the lives of so many adorable kiddos. Thanks to everyone for allowing me to capture or children, seniors or families. I look forward to 2010 and more moments to come.
