Last weekend I had the pleasure of traveling to Brown County for family photos with some old friends. I used to work with Shana at Yogi’s back in B’town and got to know her sister Tiffany as well. They contacted me about doing some photos of their adorable kiddos.
We lucked out and managed to avoid the rain that was all over the forecast, but not the heat! I have to give them props for enduring the humidity. Although Tyler did tell me twice “Ok, I’m done now” haha.
Thanks again for having me out and Happy 6th Birthday to Tyler! Here are some of my favorites from the shoot..

Floyd (the dog) decided that he was part of the family too and jumped in the shot…
So I decided to give him is own solo shot….

I can’t tell you how pumped I am about meeting this couple and getting to photograph them. I first met them at the Perfect Wedding Guide show back in January and then we met up again for coffee and I quickly realized how much we had in common. For starters they are both IU grads (go hoosiers!) so naturally it was our destination for engagement photos. They also used to hangout at Yogi’s where I worked through college and they go to the Indy 500 every year! I think if we had been at IU at the same time we might have been best friends!
I met Emily and Brian down in Bloomington and strolled around campus telling stories about our IU days and stopping at some campus landmarks along the way. We had gorgeous weather for it – great sky day 🙂
Then it was off to Nick’s for a few final pics and some delicious burgers and beers. If you guys are reading this – thanks so much for the great shoot and I can’t wait for your November wedding!
On with the pictures!

Ashley and Eric were the winners of my drawing for a free engagement session from the Perfect Wedding Guide bridal show back in January. I’ve been looking forward to their shoot for awhile now. We first talked after the show when it was still freezing and snow covered. We decided to wait until the weather was nice – and boy was it.
I met them at the IMA one spring evening for the session. We picked a great day – despite the temp being pretty hot for May. The place was hopping with people out taking photos and enjoying the gorgeous day. We spent some time strolling around and taking photos. They are a great couple and a pleasure to photograph. Thanks you guys for the awesome session! They are getting married on August 7th in Indy.
