Brittany and Clayton – 10/23/10 : Brownstown, IN

I’ve been looking forward to Brittany and Clayton’s wedding for a long time. After shooting their engagement photos this summer in scorching heat ( you can see them here) I knew a couple of things…. a) they are an awesome couple b) if they looked that good sweating their butts off in 98 degree weather then they would be even more amazing with some fall weather in October.

Turns out I was right – we had great weather for the big day and Brittany was a gorgeous bride and Clayton and equally as handsome groom. I loved all the details, they fit the fall feeling and gave it a southern Indiana outdoorsy twist with the use of wheat for the church and centerpieces to the tree trunk carved with their initials. And her hair and dress inspired by a previous bride’s big day that she found online were the final pieces of the puzzle.

Here are some of my favorites from the big day – literally so many that I loved it was hard to narrow down.

Congrats to Brittany and Clayton!

Dacia – JCHS : Class of 2011

Look familiar? You may remember Dacia from family photos I did last year with the whole Daniel clan. I also had the pleasure of shooting her sister Deanna’s photos last year as well. I headed out to their house for a session with Dacia on a gorgeous fall day. Here are some of my favorites from the shoot!

Ron and Renata’s Wedding – 10/16/10 : New York, NY

Last month I had the pleasure of traveling to New York City for the wedding of my wonderful cousin Ron. The trip started off wonderfully as I had booked the same flight out as my aunt and uncle, but didn’t know it until I got to the airport. It was great to get to catch up with them and spend some quality time together during our delay.

I couldn’t wait to meet the bride to be ,Renata, I knew it had to take an amazing lady to snag him up!  I guess you could say I kindof met her prior to the big day via iPhone facetime (isn’t technology great ), but no offense to Apple…. it doesn’t her justice.

The moment I walked into the apartment to meet her I could see why Ron fell in love. Her smile lit up the room and she was the most graceful bride I’ve seen (helps that she’s a ballerina). A special thanks to her family as well for being so welcoming, although I couldn’t understand a word they were saying as Renata is originally from Brazil and her whole family speaks Porteguese. Needless to say I should have taken a crash course haha….

After hanging there while she got ready I popped over to visit my family and Ron as he put on his wedding day best and got a lesson on tying ties from his dad aka Uncle Larry to me. Love that the whole family was there – even his sister Rachel who was 7 months pregnant at the time (she’s a trooper). And then it was off to Etcetera, etcetera for the ceremony, dinner and dancing.

I love it when couples write their own vows – always more emotional. I can’t lie – I teared up a bit…. luckily I had my camera to hide behind haha.

The whole day was a blast and I couldn’t be happier for my cousin and his new bride!

Here are some of my favorites from the day. Congrats again to Ron and Renata!
