Brittany and Clayton – 10/23/10 : Brownstown, IN
I’ve been looking forward to Brittany and Clayton’s wedding for a long time. After shooting their engagement photos this summer in scorching heat ( you can see them here) I knew a couple of things…. a) they are an awesome couple b) if they looked that good sweating their butts off in 98 degree weather then they would be even more amazing with some fall weather in October.
Turns out I was right – we had great weather for the big day and Brittany was a gorgeous bride and Clayton and equally as handsome groom. I loved all the details, they fit the fall feeling and gave it a southern Indiana outdoorsy twist with the use of wheat for the church and centerpieces to the tree trunk carved with their initials. And her hair and dress inspired by a previous bride’s big day that she found online were the final pieces of the puzzle.
Here are some of my favorites from the big day – literally so many that I loved it was hard to narrow down.
Congrats to Brittany and Clayton!
I couldn’t resist including this shot on the right… the face Brittany’s little sis aka the flower girl is making is classic
I LOVE LOVE LOVE high contrast black and white photos – this series are some of my all time favorites 🙂
And ….. ceremony time
Then we snuck outside for the last few minute of light to grab their first photos as Mr. and Mrs.
Some of the amazing details I mentioned earlier… p.s. the tree trunk is actually a card container – how awesome is that?!
And me and the lovely couple…. looking like a ghost and suffering from a massive cold… not my best look :/
