Karen and Johnathan – 12/31/10 : Indianapolis,IN – Part One
Hello 2011! If you’re reading this you’re probably holed up in your house like I am bracing for round two of this giant snow storm we are getting. So I figured what better to do than blog about how I rang in the new year. I’m going to split this into two parts since I’m having trouble narrowing it down and have alot of great party shots from midnight that I want to include as well.
I met Karen and Johnathan through a mutual friend and I can’t think her enough (thanks again Cara!). This was the first time I’ve shot a New Year’s Eve wedding and I knew that after meeting with them the first time that it would be one heck of a party – and I was right. We had braced ourselves for doing some snow pictures and braving the cold. To our surprise Mother Nature threw us a curveball and it was around 50 degrees!!! We were able to do alot more outdoor photos than we had anticipated, which made me very happy 🙂
I loved all the details that went into the big day. Karen really outdid herself and provided just the right amount of bling for the New Year. Throw in an Irish bagpiper (you’ll have to wait for part 2 for that one) and we were ready for 2011!
Here are some of the highlights leading upto the ceremony! Everything else will be in Part 2!
Congrats again to Karen and Johnathan (aka Bubba)!
Loved the initials on each of the bridesmaids bouquets!
Hello Gorgeous!!
Time for the First Look! Love it when couples do all the photos beforehand!
Time for gifts…. awesome earrings for Karen and an engraved watch for Bubba.
Then we headed outside for some shots – still can’t believe how warm it was for the last day of the year…. thanks Mother Nature!
Stay tuned for Part 2!
