How many photos do we get?

There isn’t a set number of images for each wedding. This will depend on a variety of things such as how many hours I’m there, how big your wedding party is, how long your family photo list is etc. A wedding that is 4 hours with 50 guests will end up with less images than a wedding with 200 guests that has 10 hours of coverage. On average the couple will get 50-60 photos per hour of coverage.

All of the packages include an online gallery of images that you can share with friends and family. They can even order directly from there if they want to get any prints. The couple also gets a flash drive of images with personal printing rights included in the package.

Do you stay the whole time?

Each packages is based on hours. Some couples want us there for more of the getting ready and some want us to stay for more of the reception.Each wedding is different in terms of coverage, but I aim to always cover the main events and tell the entire story of the day.

What if it rains/snows etc.?

Unfortunately I have no control over the weather (despite many people thinking I do!). I always try to have a back up plan for weather, but I also like to embrace it! Some of my favorite photos have been taken in the rain or the snow. If you’re getting married in Chicago you never know what you will get. There are some indoor options for photos, but they often require a permit. It’s always a good idea to consider these things when choosing your venue or the hotel you’ll be getting ready at. Could either of those be an option in case of terrible weather?

What gear do you use?

I shoot all Canon professional gear. Primarily 5Dmark 3 cameras and a variety of L Lens.

Do you travel?

Absolutely! I’ve shot weddings/sessions in a dozen different states and I’m always looking to add new destinations!

Can we do an engagement session?

Of course! I love doing engagement sessions for a number of reasons. They allow us to get to know each other a little better before the wedding. You get some great photos of you not in wedding gear and the sessions are much more laid back. We can go to locations that we may not be able to go to on the wedding day as well.

What about albums? Do people still do those?

If it were up to me every couple would have a wedding album. We live in a digital age where many people don’t print their images anymore. But when you have a physical album to pick up you’re much more likely to flip through it from time to time. You don’t have to worry about misplacing the files and it can be passed down over generations so your children and grandchildren can enjoy it as well.
