Brace yourselves for amazingness 🙂 After the wild and crazy weather etc. we had during Julie and John’s engagement session (you can see it HERE) mother nature totally redeemed herself and brought us one of the most perfect Saturdays of the entire year.
I met Julie at her parents house where she was getting ready while my wonderful assistant Robyn hung out nearby with the guys. I knew we were going to have a great day right from the start. Everyone was so welcoming and I was surrounded by gorgeous details and amazing light peeking through the trees in their  back yard that I was able to use throughout the day.
Their ceremony was held at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Claredon Hills followed by a trip back to mom and dad’s for a quick breather. Everyone should take note that I said breather… yes…. on a wedding day. Due to amazing planning the day was relaxed enough that at no point were we rushed or panicked for time. This is how every wedding should be  🙂
From there it was off to Edgewood Valley Country Club for wedding party photos and the most perfect lit cocktail hour of all time. The weather was in the mid 70’s and the sun was setting in the distance while guests gathered outside for mingling, cocktails and an amazing sunset. You really couldn’t ask for a better backdrop for cocktails. I think I overheard a half dozen guests remarking on how beautiful it was.
As the sun finally faded we headed upstairs for dinner and dancing. The dance floor was PACKED! A big shout out to Max of Style Matters for keeping things rocking all night.
Congratulations to Julie and John and thank you for allowing us to capture your wedding day! And another thank you to your families and wedding party for an awesome day!

My background for these details was a purse that belonged to Julie’s mother that she was using for her something borrowed. I loved the detailing and delicacy of it!
Robyn took these getting ready shots with John… before the guys left her at the hotel! Thank you to Mr. Wantiez for picking her up. I think I failed to tell the guys she was riding to the church with them!

Ceremony time!
Off to Edgewood Valley!
John got all his groomsmen personalized jersey’s for their gift 🙂
 Cocktail hour!
This next one I took during cocktail hour. I saw the golden light coming through these trees and I was drooling over it haha. Luckily I was able to steal them away for 2 mintues to get this shot because I love it!
Which led into this sunset…… man I have a tough job haha
I wasn’t kidding about a packed dance floor! They had all kind of hats and fun props for the dance floor that made for some fun photos!
And last but not least me with the newlyweds!
Say hello to these two lovebirds! You might recognize Katie as she was a bridesmaid in a wedding I shot a couple years agao. I always love it when I get my previous bridesmaids become my brides. You can just feel the happiness and love in these photos – they made my job easy!
I met up with Katie and Brandon in downtown Indianapolis for their session. We took a little stroll around downtown with stops by the courthouse where they will be having their ceremony next year and by Jillians (which is no longer Jillians) were they went on their first date. I can’t wait for their wedding next August! Here are some of my favorites!
September 7th was one of the most requested dates I had all year! I booked the date over a year out, but luckily my wonderful associate photographer Allie was able to capture Jessica and Zach’s wedding in Bloomington. I did have the pleasure of getting to know Jessica and Zach in the process of planning and organizing their big day and are such sweethearts.  I couldn’t wait to see it all their hard work come together.  It was a gorgeous fall day in a beautiful outdoor setting at Sycamore Farms. They were married outside under a big tree with the sun peaking in through the clouds. Their travel themed reception was perfectly executed in all the details and the rustic details of the barn tied it all together to make it a picture perfect day.
Here are a few of my favorites from their day! Congratulations to Jessica and Zach!
