Morton Arboretum Engagement Session: Kimmy + Adam 11/12/17

Meet Kimmy & Adam! I can’t wait for their wedding in just a few weeks! But before that here are some favorites from their fall engagement session.

We met up at Morton Arboretum on a drizzly Chicago day in November. It continued to spit rain on an off for the whole session, but the good news about that is that we basically had the place to ourselves! It was one of the last days that all the fall leaves were in full effect for the year. We wandered around for awhile and got some of my favorites fall photos of the year.

Chicago Skyline Engagement Session : Laura + Jose 10/29/17

Meet Laura & Jose! I can’t wait for their wedding in August!

I met them for their engagement session in Lincoln Park on a beautiful fall day. The sun was out and there was just a little chill in the air as we walked around the South Pond area taking in all the fall colors.

A quick outfit change and a trip out to Olive Park was the perfect way to end the session. I love the skyline view from out there and it’s so gorgeous when the city lights come up and reflect of the lake. It was a bit (ok a lot) cooler out there, especially with the sun going down. I think Laura was half frozen by the time we were done, but we had a blast!

Urban Chicago Engagement Session : Jen + Joe 10/26/17

Meet Jen & Joe! I can’t wait for their wedding later this year!

I met up with them downtown on a chilly fall day in October for their engagement photos. They wanted an urban vibe so we picked some favorite spots and set out on the town! We started out near the Chicago Theater in one of my favorite alleys (because it’s totally normal to have a favorite alley right?). That area is always full of people and truly encompasses the hustle and bustle of the city.

From there it was off to Board of Trades and the iconic photo looking down LaSalle. After a wardrobe change we headed to LaSalle Bridge for some photos as the sun went down and the city lights started to come up. The city at night has such a different look and vibe. So if the timing works out I always try to get a couple night shots at the end of the session!
