Hot, hot, hot seems to be the theme of most of my shoots this summer. This one was no exception. After having to reschedule since my car got drilled by a tire on 65 on my trip down the first time (weirdest wreck ever), I thought for sure the weather would have calmed down a little since it was a couple of weeks later. I was wrong…
Thanks to Arica and her mom for enduring the heat with me. I had a great time spending the evening with you guys – especially since I know you’re Colts fans 🙂 Best of luck to Arica with her last semester of school (yep graduating midterm). Here are some of my favorites from the shoot.

This past Thursday I hit the open road (65N) with a van full of amazing ladies who are also photographers in the Indy area. For barely knowing, or only have having been introduced via Facebook to most of them I was worried it would be awkward at first. Boy was i wrong… I could hang out with these gals all the time! They were cracking me up the whole trip!
We arrived in Northbrook (north of the city) on Wednesday night for the workshop the next day. After staying up way too late talking we were up and going at 8am for the first speaker. I don’t know if it was the adrenaline rush or the fact that I drank about 5 cups of coffee because the conference room was subzero, but I was pretty pumped up most of the day.
From marketing to lighting to workflow…. my mind was full of new ideas and ways to improve my business and my photography skills. Top that off with a mini trade show of a ton of album companies and more covers options than I know what to do with and I was more than happy for the glass of wine at the end of the day to calm myself down!
Can’t wait to implement some of the things I learned and share them with you!
Who wants to roadtrip to vegas for WPPI in February?!!!
It’s almost that time of year again! With the weather (hopefully) cooling off and football season starting it’s time to start thinking about the fall and scheduling your fall portrait sessions. Due to my limited availability in October I’ve decided to do a fall mini-session special on October 24th. It’s prime time for the leaves to be changing and (fingers crossed) it will be a great fall day.
Contact me to schedule your time slot. More information is listed below…… You can book back to back sessions if you have a large family or would like to have a full hour to explore the park and have some more variety in backgrounds and locations.
