City View Loft Wedding: Michele + Nick 5/20/17

Meet Michele & Nick! Although they live in New York, their families brought them back to Chicago to get married!

We started the day at the Crowne Plaza where the girls getting ready room was a hub of activity! I have to give major props to Michele, her mom and maids for the DIY work they did. They put together all the bouquets, bouts, centerpieces and other decor around the venue and they looked amazing!

After a first look with dad (love it!) and then her groom to be we headed out for photos in the city. The forecast was giving me major stress all week and even that day it looked questionable, but thankfully held out for our stop downtown at the Wrigley Building.

Their ceremony at City View Loft was one of my favorites. They incorporated several traditions including the Mexican lasso and Greek crowning. Their vows to each other were amazing. As you can tell by the photos below their was plenty of laughter and love!

They danced the night away with sun setting over the Chicago skyline behind them and the dance floor was rocking all night long!

Union League Club Wedding: Hilary + Jack 4/22/17

Meet Hilary and Jack! We had the pleasure of photographing their celebration at the Union League Club and portraits around the city. They actually married a couple months earlier in a private ceremony, but wanted to invite some close friends and family for a party!

We headed out downtown and hit some favorite photo stops such as Board of Trades and Lurie Garden. It was an absolutely gorgeous spring day and all the trees and flowers had just started to bloom! We got so lucky!

From there it was time to dance the night away! We met up with their guests for cocktail hour, toasts and dances. And did someone say doughnut bar?! Yes please!

A New Leaf Wedding: Ananda + Robert 1/7/17

I can’t imagine kicking off 2017 with a more fun and amazing couple than Ananda and Rob! You may remember them from their fall engagement session (see that HERE).

I met the ladies at Hotel Lincoln where Ananda was all smiles and laughs before heading out to meet her groom. To say it was a cold day would be the understatement of the year. With the windchill it was single digits. It was cold. It was very very cold. But that wasn’t going to stop up!

We met Rob around the corner were he was waiting for his bride with a horse and carriage. We jumped on board and headed over to Cafe Brauer where they had their first date for a few photos. Thanks to Pickles the horse for being a trooper!

After a very quick run outside with the bridal party we warmed up at A New Leaf where they had their ceremony and reception. Being the incredibly crafty people that they are, most of the decorations and sign were made by them! And a hot chocolate bar?! Yes please!!
