What’s better than a summer wedding with an amazing couple? A summer wedding with an amazing couple and a White Sox game as the reception!

When Katie first contacted me and told me their wedding day would be a little “non-traditional” I jumped for joy. I am a big advocate for doing what you want to do on your wedding day. If you don’t want a sit down dinner with 400 people than don’t do it! I’d rather have a Chicago dog at the ballpark anyway. If you don’t want a wedding party, don’t have one!

They married at Wilder Park in Elmhurst for a morning ceremony with their friends and family on a gorgeous summer day. With Katie’s uncle as the officiant they said I do and incorporated the traditional Greek wedding crowns. Once things were official we took some photos and headed off the ballpark!

Guests enjoyed some traditional ballpark fare (think Chicago dogs, brats, nachos etc. ) and kicked back while the Sox took on the Oakland A’s. Unfortunately they lost 7-6, but it was a fun game and a beautiful day to be at at the park.
