There is no great joy for me than when I get to work with an awesome families, not once, but twice! When Kelsey contacted me about shooting her wedding I was so excited as I had photographed her sister Megan’s wedding a couple years prior and it was (and still is) one of my favorites. Their family is a blast, easy to work with and loves to hit the dance floor. So I knew it was going to be one heck of a good time!

I met the girls at mom and dad’s house where I had minor deju vu because Megan also got ready there! Can we talk about how amazing these two piece bridesmaid dresses are?! I want one for myself! Once everyone was dressed and ready we took a few photos at the house including our traditional funny face family photo 🙂

The ceremony was at the Koten Chapel at North Central College in Naperville. It is a gorgeous chapel with amazing stained glass windows. I love any ceremony location that has a balcony. Some of the overhead shots Sami got were my favorite. I also loved that instead of a unity candle or sand they chose to do a unity wax seal! A first for me!

Thankfully we had a beautiful fall day and headed out to St. James Farm for photos after the ceremony. I could take photos here all day long! It’s a gorgeous property and we hit it at exactly the right time for the light to peak through the trees and provide some golden glow.

Then it is was off to Noah’s for the reception. I knew this was a group tat liked to dance and they did not disappoint! From dress twirls, to the bride and groom singing with the band on stage to Megan doing the splits (what?!) it was one heck of a good time!

Congrats to the newlyweds and thank you to the Swieca’s for letting us capture your family again! I’ll see you in 2020 for Sadie’s wedding right? 😉
